Where can I buy organic produce in Atherton?
FNQ WholeFoods at 55 Main Street, Atherton stocks organic, spray-free and conventionally farmed fruit and veg side by side, so you can choose how you shop. Most of it is grown right here on the Atherton Tablelands. You can also pick up dry groceries and pantry staples in the same trip.
What's the difference between organic and spray-free produce?
Organic produce is grown to a certified organic standard. Spray-free means the grower has not used chemical sprays on the crop, without carrying that certification. Plenty of small Tablelands farms grow spray-free. At FNQ WholeFoods we label which is which, so you always know exactly what you are buying.
Where does your fruit and veg come from?
Local first. The Atherton Tablelands is some of the best growing country in Queensland, so our fruit and veg comes from farms around Atherton, Tolga, Malanda and Mareeba wherever the season allows. When something is not grown locally, we bring in the best we can find and tell you where it came from.
Do you sell fresh sourdough bread in Atherton?
Yes. We stock fresh artisan sourdough from Ellinjaa Cascades, including organic sourdough loaves and their garlic focaccia, delivered fresh to the shop. It regularly sells out, so it is worth calling ahead on 0488 774 807 to check what has landed and put a loaf aside for you.
Do you stock native Australian superfoods?
We do. FNQ WholeFoods is a listed stockist of The Australian Superfood Co, so you can buy native Australian ingredients like their superfood powders and pantry range in store in Atherton instead of ordering online and waiting for delivery to the Tablelands.
Where is FNQ WholeFoods and when are you open?
